Jord Projects – Terms and Conditions
1. Booking & Payment
Deposit & Final Payment
To secure your dining or accommodation reservation, guests may choose to either pay in full at the time of booking or pay a 30% deposit. The remaining balance of 70% will be due upon arrival.Payment Methods
Payments can be made securely through our booking platform using major credit and debit cards, bank transfer, or Square Payments.Rates & Taxes
All rates are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£) and include UK VAT at the prevailing rate. Once your booking has been confirmed, the rate will not be subject to increase, except where required by changes to government tax legislation.
2. Cancellation and Refunds
By You
If you wish to cancel your accommodation booking, you must notify Jord Projects in writing.Where a 30% deposit has been paid to secure the booking, this deposit is non-refundable. If you have paid in full at the time of booking, you will receive a refund of 70% of the total booking value, with Jord Projects retaining the 30% deposit amount.
Should you have made the booking in error please let us know within 24hours to be refunded 100%.
The remaining 70% balance is due on arrival. If you cancel before arrival and have only paid the deposit, no further payment will be taken.
By Us
In the rare event that Jord Projects needs to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be entitled to one of the following:A full refund of all monies paid
The option to rebook your stay for a mutually agreeable future date
3. Check-In and Check-Out
Check-In: Accommodation check-in is available between 13:00-15:00 on Friday. Please inform our team if you expect to arrive after this time.
Check-Out: Guests must vacate their tents by 15:00 on Sunday.
4. The Vineyard Restaurant
Reservations: Reservations must be made in advance, unfortunately we cannot accommodate for walk-ins. You can choose to either pay in full at the time of booking or pay a 30% deposit. The remaining balance of 70% will be due after your meal.
Dietary Requirements: Under UK food safety guidelines, please notify us of any food allergies, intolerances, or severe dietary restrictions at least 48 hours before dining - we ask that you do this whilst making your booking to give us ample time to accommodate.
Service Standards: In line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all food and beverage services will be delivered with reasonable care, skill, and using fresh ingredients of satisfactory quality.
Cancellations: Restaurant table cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the reservation time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking, or failure to attend without notice, will result in the 30% deposit being retained as a non-refundable no-show fee.
5. Vineyard Environment and Safety
Working Agricultural Site: Jord Projects is a fully operational vineyard. Farm machinery, tractors, and uneven terrain are present across the grounds. Guests must stay on designated footpaths and adhere to any safety signage.
Restricted Access: For your safety, access to production environments (such as wineries, bottling facilities, and barrel rooms) is strictly prohibited unless you are accompanied by a staff member as part of an official guided tour.
Pets: If staying with us, only registered assistance dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead at all times in public areas. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome during the ARK Vineyard lunch only.
6. Alcohol Policy and Conduct
Licensing Laws: We strictly enforce the UK Licensing Act. Jord Projects reserves the right to refuse the sale or service of alcohol to any individual who appears intoxicated, underage, or acts aggressively toward staff or other guests.
Outside Alcohol: Only alcohol purchased directly from the Jord Projects Bar, Restaurant or Ark Wines shop may be consumed in the public areas and communal grounds of the vineyard.
Illegal Substances & Anti-Social Behaviour: We operate a zero-tolerance policy. Any guest engaging in illegal activity or anti-social behaviour will be asked to leave immediately without a refund, and the matter may be escalated to local authorities.
7. Damages, Smoking, and Property
Room Condition: Guests are expected to leave their accommodation in a clean and respectful condition.
Financial Liability: You are legally responsible for any breakages, missing items, or malicious damage caused to the accommodation, restaurant, or vineyard property. Jord Projects reserves the right to charge the payment card on file for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside all accommodation, restaurant, and other indoor areas, in accordance with UK law. To help protect our guests, property, and the surrounding natural environment, smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated smoking areas. Smoking within the vineyard, fields, or other grassy areas is strictly prohibited due to the increased risk of fire, particularly during warmer and drier months. We kindly ask all guests to use the designated smoking areas and dispose of cigarette ends responsibly. Failure to comply with this policy may result in additional charges or being asked to leave the property.
Fire Safety: To help protect the vineyard and surrounding environment, guests are not permitted to bring or use their own portable cooking equipment. Breakfast is included as part of your stay, and you are welcome to bring food and refreshments that do not require cooking.
8. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any matter where it would be illegal to exclude liability under UK law.
Subject to the above, Jord Projects is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to your personal belongings, vehicles, or property during your stay, unless caused directly by our negligence. We highly recommend guests purchase standard holiday/travel insurance.
9. Force Majeure:
Jord Projects shall not be liable for any cancellation, delay, or interruption to your stay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, fire, pandemics, government restrictions, utility failures, or other events that make the retreat unsafe or impractical to operate. In such circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings and will offer either an alternative date or a refund of monies paid. We recommend that guests obtain suitable travel insurance to cover any related expenses.
